One of these days I found out that a very loved person in my life would receive a gift that had been waiting for a long time. I know that it was something that the person had been praying to God for. I knew that the answer had already arrived, but this person would only find out days later.
How many times we have been through this, where we are sad, downcast or hopeless about a situation that we may face, but God who already knows the answer is about to reach our hands. What would we do if we looked at this situation through God’s lens? We would certainly rejoice, knowing that we have already received!
God is the one we can trust. He is not a man to lie, as it says in Numbers 23:19. We can fully trust what He says, without needing to see it right away. When someone promises us something of great value, we may doubt it, because they may not have the resources for it or may not want to give it to us when the time comes. It is not this way with God. He has the resources and He wants to bless us. Therefore we have nothing to fear.
“And my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
We need to focus our attention on who He is, because with our eyes on God, we will not give our time or thoughts to anxiety or worry. We will be so full of God’s Word that no circumstance will make us doubt what He has promised us.
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
One way to know if we truly believe in God is by analyzing what comes out of our mouth. Stop for a moment and think if the words you spoke today resemble what Jesus would say. When we notice that we are expressing unbelief and doubt in what we say, we understand that we have a homework to do: meditating on the unchanging character of God.
Let joy flow from within you and from your mouth. Laugh at the impossibilities and see the Word of God working powerfully in you. No matter how long you have been walking with Christ, today is a good day to rejoice in Him and live the fullness of God’s life. Joy is a natural fruit that flows from within those who are filled with the Holy Spirit. It helps us to put God’s lenses on situations.
What God has spoken is already a reality, just enjoy the joy of trusting in the God who is powerful to do beyond what we can imagine.
With love, Raiane Vargas.
