Giving Him praise!

Could you imagine a scene with me?

A father and a mother recently had a baby and they do their best to provide every single need this baby has. Before the baby comes they spend their time and money to prepare all the details, even knowing the baby is unable to understand all that love. After the baby is born they spend months (or years) without receiving any recompense of all that work. Not a single “Thank you” the baby is able to say. The reward they have is having the presence of their creation that they love unconditionally. Our relationship with God is similar.

God started the World creating everything for us (Genesis 1). He provided more than we needed, just because He loved us. And every evening He used to go to Eden’s Garden to spend time with Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:8). God’s creation would never have enough resources to pay for what God had done. His reward is having a relationship with us.

As good and grown up sons and daughters of God, we need to always remember to worship His name and who He is! He provided and still provides the best for our lives. He wanted so much to have a relationship with us that gave us a part of Him to live inside of us! Worshiping Him we demonstrate that we recognize all His love for us. Our life needs to manifest His love and our mouth too! It’s impossible to live a life of faith without spending time raising His name. Let’s learn with Paul and Silas in the text below.

“The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods. After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully. When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.” Acts 16:22-26

Though Paul and Silas were living a bad day they still decided to praise God. They didn’t praise or thank that situation but they praised God! Doing this they brought to their mind who God is and all the promises God gave them. Suddenly, in that environment of worship a miracle happened. Sometimes miracles are waiting for us to do our part and worship God to be manifested. Our worship life manifests the faith we have in our hearts.

In an environment of worship all the anxiety and worry need to leave. Because God inhabits the praises of His people and where God is, fear and anxiety need to leave.

Be a good son and daughter today, remembering all the goods of God that He created for your joy even before you arrived on Earth! Praise His name. You’d never be able to pay back His love. Recognize His love for you.

With love, Raiane Vargas.
