There is a characteristic in the Gospel that always called my attention: the need for fellowship and cooperation for the Christian life. There is no way to live christianity without sharing it with our brothers and sisters around the earth.
“It is not good that the man should be alone (…)” Genesis 2:18
Since creation, God never liked the idea of humans walking alone. Sharing is intrinsic for human beings in general and it is stronger when we look at the Body of Christ.
Fellowship is much more than just being together. We can share our house with someone that we rarely speak to and have no fellowship. In order to develop fellowship, we need to share our lives, happiness and sorrows.
Jesus could do all the work of His ministry alone, but He decided to share it with the Apostles, even when they didn’t help Him as He expected. Jesus showed us that we needed to make disciples and not just preach the Gospel. You can’t make a disciple just preaching in the pulpit but living the Christian life with people.
The Scripture shows us the power that our prayers can have when we pray agreeing in our hearts about anything. Alone we will never experience this.
“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Mathew 18:18-20
Stay open to edify others and to be edified by them through the Word of God daily.
